The manufacturer has issued the following safety notice:

Siemens Home Appliances has announced an in-home repair programme of certain dishwashers manufactured between 1999 and early 2005 for models purchased and used in the United Kingdom only. The affected dishwashers are in the batch number range from FD 7901 to FD 8504.

Dishwashers which are outside the above batch number range are not affected.

Please note, this repair action was announced in July 2011 so if you have already had a repair you do not need to act. A completed repair of affected models will have a blue sticker with the letter R stuck to the inside panel of the dishwasher door.

We have identified that an electrical component on a limited number of Siemens branded tumble dryers manufactured in 2002 may overheat and in very rare cases cause a potential fire hazard.

When the grill is operating the grill door must always be in the open position. If the grill is operated with the grill door closed, the air supply to the grill burner is restricted causing dangerous levels of Carbon Monoxide to be produced.

The manufacturer has issued the following safety notice:

Indesit are aware of a small number of cases of dishwashers where an electrical component has failed. This may lead to overheating and in rare cases a potential fire hazard. Our absolute priority is to locate and modify every dishwasher that is affected.

If you own an Indesit dishwasher manufactured between June 2007 and July 2010, with the affected serial numbers (please check your model/serial number below) and sold in the UK or Ireland.

While you are waiting for an engineer visit we recommend you do not leave the dishwasher unattended whilst in use.

We would also like to inform consumers that this problem does not affect any Indesit or Hotpoint model on sale today.

If you are the owner of a Hotpoint or Indesit dishwasher manufactured between June 2007 and July 2010, please read below.

As the leading white goods manufacturer, Hotpoint and Indesit continually monitors the specification and performance of its products. Through this approach, we have identified that there is a low risk that a component fitted to a limited number of Hotpoint and Indesit dishwashers manufactured between June 2007 and July 2010 sold in the United Kingdom may cause overheating and in rare cases a potential fire hazard.

When checking firstly as a precaution, make sure it is turned off and disconnected from the wall socket.

While you are waiting for an engineer visit we recommend you do not leave the dishwasher unattended whilst in use.

Haier is recalling some of its previous washing machine models because fault has been identified. A component in the control panel of the machine may overheat, creating a risk of fire.

Voluntary safety recall

We’re voluntarily recalling all AM04 and AM05 heaters due to a potential safety issue. Out of a million heaters sold worldwide, we know of a small number that have short-circuited resulting in a small fire contained within the machine. Samsung upright two-door fridge freezer recall notice:

This is an update on a recall from 2010. The fridge freezers affected by this recall were the Samsung RS21 and RS60 models sold between March 2005 and June 2006.The models affected

Samsung is now recalling ALL RS21 and RS60 fridge freezers, not just those sold between March 2005 and June 2006. Other models are also affected (see above).

Model Numbers affected:

  • RS21 series: 21A, 21D, 21F, 21J, 21K, 21N, 21W
  • RS60 series: 60D, 60J, 60K
  • SN62 series: 627, 629
  • RSE8 series: E8D, E8J, E8K

In rare cases an internal fault may present a fire risk.

22.11.13 Hotpoint, Indesit, Cannon Gas Cookers

Details

Indesit Company is aware of a small number of gas cookers purchased during October and November 2013 and sold in the United Kingdom (UK), where a component may fail. This may lead to a gas leak and in a very small number of cases a potential safety hazard. Our absolute priority is to locate and modify every gas cooker that is affected.  We have already located and repaired approximately 90% of the affected models and now need to locate the remaining very small number of products.

What to do

To check if you own an affected product:

  • Check the model number and serial number of your Hotpoint, Indesit or Cannon Cooker.  This can be found on a sticker on the inside of the TOP oven door as outlined below
