COVID-19 Information for customers

During the current Covid-19 pandemic AMDEA members continue to focus on ensuring that all appliance owners and users can access repair and replacement services and support. AMDEA members continue to operate within the current Government guidelines relating to how to ensure the safety of their staff and their customers. All of our members have conducted their own risk assessments for each area of their business, including working in other people’s homes. Electrical retailers are now re-opening for business and they too have undertaken risk assessments and changes to how they operate to ensure that safety for all is their first priority.

Please note that, for all visits to customers’ homes, AMDEA members are taking additional precautions including checking whether anyone in the household has symptoms and asking all customers to maintain a distance of 2m from the engineer. They will also wipe down all surfaces that they touch before and after carrying out any work and staff are instructed to wash their work clothing at the end of the day. Where necessary, arrangements will be made for customers to sign and pay for work remotely.
